Armando Cortez, MBA, MS

Armando Cortez is a seasoned healthcare IT executive with over two decades of leadership experience in health information systems, leading multi-year, large complex digital projects, and strategic initiatives. Armando has dynamic knowledge across the entire healthcare continuum including acute and post-acute care teaching hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), pharmaceutical and contract research organizations (CROs), laboratory instrument manufacturers and electronic health record vendors overseeing the development and execution of clinical, business, and digital strategies.

Armando is also an adjunct professor at Northeastern University, Boston, MA, where he teaches the “Introduction to Health Informatics and Health Information Systems,” in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences’ graduate program. Armando is a member of the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Project Management Institute (PMI). Armando is also Six Sigma Black Belt certified, holds an MBA and MS in Health Informatics from Northeastern University and honorably served in the U.S. Army Reserve, 399th Combat Support Hospital with the rank of Sergeant as a Medical Specialist (Combat Medic). Armando is entrepreneurial minded, a lifelong learner and an overall good person.
